MINISTRY PROJECTS
Our ministry mainly serves the villages of Panibaj, Chuchuca, and Chuiquel. We have many projects, but they all serve our vision of revealing God's love by meeting basic needs.
HOUSING
We work together with families in need to help them build new homes. The families invest their time, labor, and a very small portion of the cost to help give them ownership and pride in their home. A home with solid walls and concrete floors drastically reduces sickness and disease and has also been shown to improve mental health.
NUTRITIONAL ASSISTANCE
Not only do the consequences of not enough – or the wrong – food cause suffering and poor health, they also slow progress in many other areas of development like education and employment.” Poor and inadequate nutrition also leaves children vulnerable to diseases and illness, and can cause stunted growth. We have feeding programs and will deliver food baskets to families in the community.
SKILLS AND JOB TRAINING
The Carol Project Women's Programs, named after Carol Jo Newburn, a beloved and faithful woman of God, supports the women in Panibaj and Chuchuca. Programs include a weekly fellowship and Bible study, nutrition, parenting and cooking workshops as well as skills training which provide opportunities for women to help support their families. The KEM weaving program in Panibaj provides women with the materials and skills to produce beautiful, traditional hand-woven items. The TISOJ sewing program in Chuchuca provides women with the materials and training to sew aprons, market bags and other items made from typical Guatemalan fabrics.
DISCIPLESHIP
Personal relationships are one of our highest priorities. When you build strong relationships, you cross over from just being another stranger offering a handout to a friend who is helping fulfill a need. In order to try and fill the spiritual needs, we are currently hosting Bible studies in the villages.
MEDICAL/DENTAL/VISION CLINICS
Access to medical care in the villages is extremely difficult. Many people go untreated for simple ailments and suffer because of the financial and geographical barriers. We would love to host teams that would be able to provide much needed care for the people.

While our main focus is on the above topics, we never hesitate to be involved with whatever opportunities arise. Other projects we are involved in are general construction (building churches, bathroom facilities, etc.); water barrel collection systems for clean water; vacation Bible school for children, Christmas outreach, and so much more!
